I love what I do:
Sometimes, the most unforgettable moments happen when you least expect them.
I was in the middle of a branding session recently when I noticed a family nearby.
The mom was visibly pregnant, dressed beautifully, and clearly emotional. As it turned out, their photographer hadn’t shown up.
She looked heartbroken.
It was a moment that tugged at my heart.
I’ve seen firsthand how much planning and anticipation goes into capturing these precious seasons of life.
I glanced at my client, who was witnessing the same scene, and without hesitation, they said,
“You should take their photos.”
In that instant, I knew this wasn’t just a coincidence, it was one of those moments you don’t ignore.
So I stepped in.
We quickly found some soft light, and I began to shoot.
The change in her energy was immediate: from disappointment to relief, from frustration to joy.
What started as a heartbreaking moment turned into something truly magical.
We created images that reflected the love, strength, and beauty of that family in a way I hope they’ll cherish forever.
I’ll never forget that day, not just for the photos, but for the reminder that this is why I do what I do.
To show up.
To capture love in all its forms.
To be a calm in the chaos.
And to offer people something they’ll hold on to for a lifetime.
To my client ;thank you for your compassion and flexibility.
And to that beautiful family; thank you for trusting me in a moment that wasn’t going as planned.
It ended up being perfect in its own way.
