Rainy Days and New beginings

A film inspired at home session

Getting to photograph my cousin’s baby girl was such an honor; one of those full-circle, heart-full moments I’ll never forget.

When she asked me to capture their session in a film-inspired style, I’ll be honest; I was a little nervous.

Film has a softness and intentionality that feels different.

But as soon as I arrived at their home on that rainy, slow-paced afternoon, I knew this was exactly how it was meant to be.

The light was gentle.

The energy was calm.

Their home warm, cozy, and full of love — created the perfect backdrop.

Every frame felt like a quiet pause, a deep breath, a moment of pure connection.

These weren’t just photos.

They were memories wrapped in texture and tone, reflecting the tenderness of new parenthood.

Watching them soak in every little detail of their baby girl her fingers, her yawns, the way she curled into their arms, reminded me why I love what I do.

It’s not just about beautiful images. It’s about capturing the feeling of a moment, the soul of a space, the depth of a bond.

Being invited into someone’s home to witness and document something so intimate is never lost on me.

It's a gift, every single time.

And when it’s family?

Even more special.

To my cousin and her newest family of 3 thank you for trusting me with this season.

I’m so grateful to have been a small part of it.
